Opinion maze
In the workplace I am a liar,
In the meeting room I am the scapegoat,
In the romantic light I am undeserving
In a motherly tone I am uncompassionate
Opinions make up my mind maze
Walking into walls of hatred and disdain
Rounding corners to gazes and remarks
Only to find myself back at the start
what had I done wrong? Who did I hurt?
Is it true? What can I do to stop it?
And with that I found the exit to my maze
With that I left other’s opinions to them.
Nothing I say, do, or intent can affect the outcome
Opinions are opinions for a reason.
I don’t agree with everyone.
They don’t see my views either.
But today I will choose my path
And that way is through the exit.
