Shower Curtain
Water poured over me
The curtains fung open
You had flooded me
Your hands melting into me
Burning me and leaving welts
You savaged me body in this room
You continued although I was only 14
You persisted because I was an object
I was your daughter therefore I belonged to you
I was to do as I was told under that peaceful waterfall
Nothing was to escape this room
No sound
No retellings
No memories
And yet my emotions carried me
You had left and I continued to scrub
The filth never-ending
The dirt seeping into my soul deeper
You took innocence and replaced it with pestilence.
